Going to try something.. I'm just an average softball dad that spends almost every weekend at softball parks around the KC metro and beyond. There's always one thing that catches my eye on the menu as I stand in the concession stand line for close to an half hour.. Walking Taco's. I always ask myself that famous Dirty Harry line... "Do I feel lucky?" I've had good experiences.. and I've had bad... As this softball season starts to ramp up I'm going to buy a walking taco at each ball park (if available), and give my honest review. Please don't try to figure out who I am. I choose to be anonymous, so not to be swayed by money or fame.

🌮 Walking Taco Rating Categories

  1. Crunch Factor
How crispy are the chips? Are they tragically soggy, or still crunching like a fresh double play?
  2. Meat Quality
Are we talking seasoned to perfection… or mystery meat Monday vibes?
  3. Topping Game
Includes cheese, lettuce, salsa, sour cream, jalapeños, etc. Are they generous? Is it balanced? Or just a pile of lettuce with trust issues?
  4. Presentation / Packaging
Is it in a clean Doritos/Fritos bag with a fork and napkin?
  5. Overall Vibe / Dugout Desirability
Would you eat this mid-tournament and still feel like a winner? Or does it make you question your life choices between innings?
  6. Fire in the hole!
Did I have any ill effects from said walking taco.. Just think of the toilet scene in Dumb and Dumber.
Scale is 1 to 5 tacos.. 1 being not so great.. to 5 which is I would highly recommend..

I'll be honest.. this was why I started this thread. It's not the best review to start off with.. but would you risk it? I love walking taco's... but I just couldn't eat it. I saw another fellow just holding it, staring at it, contemplating what he was going to do. It looks like nacho cheese Doritos, covered in that fake nacho cheese sauce, with probably the cheapest can of chili you could buy.

I give this the lowest rating possible. 1/5 Tacos. Would not recommend.

Sorry for the lack of posts, but my kids have not been playing at too many local ballparks that have walking tacos.. so we had to go to out of town to OKC. This was quite the surprise. The kid saw it on the menu, and it was destiny. I wasn't expecting much, especially when it was handed to me in looked to be a cool whip container but I was highly impressed. Yes, I did splurge the extra $2 for the exclusive, limited-edition souvenir walking taco lid. Would I do it again? No. Was it necessary? Also no. But as they say.. go big or go home.

I must say it was the best walking taco I have had in years. It wasn't the cheapest, but it was worth it. Lettuce was cold and fresh, doritos were crunchy, meat had great seasoning, and the peco/salsa what on point. Sour cream was provided, but its not my thing. Overall it was so good, I ended up getting another an hour later.

I give this the highest rating possible. 5/5 Tacos. Would highly recommend!!
